Office Pod Sizes: From Private Calls to Team Meetings

Compare office pod capacities for calls, focus, conversations and meetings, then plan the right format for your floor plan.
Choosing an office pod size is not simply a question of how many chairs fit inside. The right format depends on the work that takes place there, how often the space will be used and what needs to happen around it.
MOVUSH’s current product direction spans individual, two-person and larger meeting formats. Use this guide to decide where each capacity can make sense, then confirm the selected model’s final dimensions and configuration in the current specification.

Individual pods: calls, focus and short video meetings

An individual pod is a good fit when people need a private setting for calls, concentrated work or a video meeting that would otherwise be held at a desk. The benefit is not isolation for its own sake. It is giving someone a place to speak and listen without asking the surrounding team to work around the conversation.
The planning question is whether the interior supports the intended session. A standing-height call surface may work for short calls; a longer focus session may need a seated configuration and a larger worktop. The MOVUSH source material includes both phone and study-style single-user formats, so the specification conversation should distinguish those uses from the start.

Two-person pods: one-to-ones and private collaboration

Two-person pods suit conversations that need more privacy than an open table can offer: interviews, coaching, virtual meetings with a remote participant, or quick working sessions between colleagues. They are particularly useful when a project has many small meeting needs but few enclosed rooms.
Do not assume that two seats automatically make a good meeting setting. Check the table depth, legroom, screen position, cable access and whether the door and glass layout provide the appropriate balance of visual openness and discretion.

Four-person pods: the everyday small meeting room

For teams that regularly meet in pairs or trios but occasionally need a fourth seat, a four-person pod can create a useful shared room. It can support a project stand-up, a hybrid review or a small client conversation without taking a larger meeting room out of circulation.
At this size, furniture becomes central to the experience. The table should allow people to see each other and work comfortably; the seats should be chosen for the expected duration. Confirm whether those items are included or optional, and leave enough circulation space outside the pod for people to enter without disrupting nearby workstations.

Six- and eight-person pods: when a team needs a dedicated room

Larger pods are intended for more sustained collaboration, workshops, team discussions and hybrid meetings. They can be a practical way to add meeting capacity within an existing layout, but they also require more careful planning. Delivery path, ceiling services, external dimensions, power, ventilation, fire strategy and local building requirements should be discussed early with the relevant professionals.
The MOVUSH 2026 material contains six- and eight-person configurations. These are useful capacity references, not a promise of universal availability. Confirm the exact model, interior layout, technical documents, installation scope and market requirements before including a larger pod in a tender or construction drawing.

A quick capacity checklist

1. What activity will account for most uses?
2. How many people will be inside most of the time?
3. How long will a typical session last?
4. What equipment, power and furniture are required?
5. Where will the pod sit, and how will it be delivered and serviced?
6. Which model-specific documents must the project team review?
The best pod size is the one that feels proportionate to the work, the floor plan and the people using it. A capacity label gets the conversation started. A complete project review makes the final choice dependable.
